Aims of the Trust
The Trust aims to help and foster the talent of young artists through the award of bursaries, scholarships, prizes and grants primarily through the established Opera platforms and to individual students.
The Trust provides support for artists as they progress from studying at a musical academy to performing at major international opera houses.
Recipients by country
United Kingdom of Great Britain: Garsington Opera, Garsington; Royal College of Music, British Youth Opera, and Salon Opera in London.
Republic of Ireland: Wexford Festival Opera.
Italy: Fondazione Mascarade Opera, Florence; Rossini Opera Festival, Pesaro; and CLIP Portofino International Singing Competition, Portofino.
Malta: BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation, Valletta.

Peter Beckwith OBE
Peter Beckwith OBE is a prominent property developer and philanthropist who founded the Vivien and Peter Beckwith Trust to support the next generation of musical talent. Through his foundation, he provides vital scholarships and grants to young artists across the UK and Europe, partnering with elite institutions like the Royal College of Music and Garsington Opera to help performers transition to major international careers.

Vivien Beckwith
Vivien McLean Beckwith presents regular concerts at her house in Chelsea to raise money for Students and young graduates from the London Conservatories such as The Royal College and Royal Academy of Music. Living between Italy, Malta, and the UK Peter and Vivien are passionate about supporting future generations of Opera professionals providing cultural connections between Italy, the UK, Ireland, and most recently Malta.

Leslie Macleod-Miller
British-Australian Bass Baritone and lawyer Leslie Macleod-Miller is connected with a range of cultural organisations in the UK, and hosts salons and concerts to support young artists at his Mansion Flat in Westminster. Leslie continues his family’s tradition of celebrating creativity by supporting and following young artists of quality.

Francesca Moore
Francesca Moore is a British writer specializing in social and psychological themes with a background in global travel to remote destinations. At the Beckwith Trust, she serves as a strategic advisor overseeing communications, relationship management, social media, and public relations.
