The Beckwith Trust has announced its invaluable support for the CLIP International Opera Singing Competition in Portofino, July 2024 and its programme to nurture young lyrical artists worldwide.

CLIP Portofino, established in 2015, has quickly become a prestigious event in the international opera calendar. Held in the picturesque Ligurian village of Portofino, CLIP attracts singers from over 70 countries. The competition’s esteemed jury, composed of directors from major international opera houses, offers participants a direct pathway to professional opportunities.

Winners and finalists of CLIP Portofino often embark on successful careers, enriched by the competition’s emphasis on quality, professionalism, and respect for the artist.

In addition to its support for CLIP, the Beckwith Trust also backs the Mascarade Emerging Artists programme in Florence. This initiative, under the auspices of Fondazione Mascarade Opera Firenze, aspires to be the leading independent training and performance programme for singers and répétiteurs globally.

Collaborating with an international network of opera houses and festivals, with Teatro La Fenice as a principal partner, the programme aims to revolutionize the training and promotion of young artists.
